The Pig's Eye Brewing Company was a beer brand and beer brewing company established in 1992 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. They brewed the "Pig's Eye" brand of beers and the "Pit Bull" beer. History Pig's Eye was first launched in 1992, and reached volume of 35,000 barrels by 1994 by Minnesota Brewing Company.The folded in June 2002 due to financial troubles. In December 2002, it was reestablished when two former employees Phil Gagne (the brewmaster)and Jeff Crawford (the vice president of sales) purchased the recipes. Pierre "Pig's Eye" Parrant was the first official resident of the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota. His exploits propelled him to local fame and infamy, with his name briefly adorning the village that became Minnesota's capital city. Grain Belt is a brand of beer brewed in the United States, American state of Minnesota, by the August Schell Brewing Company. The beer has been produced in a number of varieties. Grain Belt Golden was the original style introduced in 1893. The current offerings are: Grain Belt Premium, first introduced in 1947; Grain Belt Premium Light; Grain Belt Nordeast, introduced on April 7, 2010; and the newest offering, Grain Belt Lock & Dam, introduced in 2016. The Valentin Blatz Brewing Company was an American brewery based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It produced Blatz Beer from 1851 until 1959, when the label was sold to Pabst Brewing Company. Blatz beer is currently produced by the Miller Brewing Company of Milwaukee, under contract for Pabst Brewing Company. History Johann Braun opened City Brewery in 1846. Valentin Blatz established a brewery next door in 1850 and merged both breweries upon Braun's death in 1852. In that year, Valentin's little brewery produced 350 barrels of lager. The G. Heileman Brewing Company of La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States, was a brewer that operated from 1858 to 1996. It was ultimately acquired by Stroh's.
