Saša Rašilov (born 1972)
Saša Rašilov (born Alexandr Rašilov, 26 July 1972) is a Czech film and stage actor. He studied at the Faculty of Theatre in Prague, later performing on stage at theatres including the Theatre on the Balustrade. He is the grandson and namesake of Czechoslovak actor Saša Rašilov (1891–1955). He was married to actress Vanda Hybnerová, with whom he has two daughters, between 1993 and 2014. His younger brother (born 1976) is an actor as well. ''Arvéd'' is a 2022 Czech psychological mystery drama directed by Vojtěch Mašek. It is loosely based on life of Jiří "Arvéd" Smíchovský. Film is inspired by a Faustian theme, telling a story of how far a person can go to achieve their goal. The filmmakers want Smíchovský's character to confront two totalitarian regimes (Nazism and the Communist regime) which he was involved with as he collaborated with both. Plot The film is about Jiří Arvéd Smíchovský. Story of his life and death are still surrounded by many secrets. During the war, as a Nazi confidant, he saved Štěpán Plaček from a concentration camp. After the war, their roles are reversed and Plaček repays the debt. ''The Little Man'' () is a Czech-Slovak stop-motion animated film directed by Radek Beran. It is based on a book called Velká cesta malého pána (Great Journey of the Little Man). Plot The Little Man lives in his little house in Hollow Mountain. His peaceful life ends when he has a dream of a mysterious house is to find something that he is missing. Since he himself does not feel that he is missing anything, he decides to get to the bottom of the mystery. He goes to the Empty Head to ask where to find the mysterious house. Empty Head however needs to drink sparkling waters of the lake island to give him the advice. Little Man thus sets out to journey and meets a lot of friends and helpers on his way along with enemies who want to prevent him from reaching his goal.
