Saša Mrkić
Saša Mrkić (; born 16 December 1967) is a Serbian football manager and former player. Playing career A defender, Mrkić spent eight seasons with Radnički Niš in two spells between 1988 and 2001. He also played abroad in Bulgaria. Managerial career After hanging up his boots, Mrkić served as manager of Radnički Niš on several occasions. The 1989–90 Yugoslav First League season was the 44th season of the First Federal League (), the top level association football competition of SFR Yugoslavia, since its establishment in 1946. Two points were awarded for a win, none for a loss, while in case of a draw a penalty shootout was taken with the winner of the shootout being awarded one point. Red Star won the 17th title. The season began on 29 July 1989 with its fall part completing on 17 December 1988. Following a two-month winter break, the season resumed on 18 February 1990 and ran until 16 May 1990. The 1997–98 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the sixth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. Overview The league was divided into 2 groups, A and B, consisting each of 10 clubs. Both groups were played in league system. By winter break all clubs in each group meet each other twice, home and away, with the bottom four classified from A group moving to the group B, and being replaced by the top four from the B group. At the end of the season because the two groups league format was being abandoned for the next season and replaced by a single league consisting of 16 clubs, more clubs were relegated, six, and only the two first classified from the Second League of FR Yugoslavia would be promoted.
