Saša Ilić (; born 5 September 1970) is a Macedonian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Skopje, Ilić made his senior debut with Vardar in the 1987–88 season. He spent two more seasons with the club, before moving to Partizan in 1990. After failing to receive any playing time in his debut season, Ilić went on loan to Spartak Subotica ( 1991–92) and Borac Banja Luka ( 1992–93). He returned to Partizan in the 1993–94 season, as the club won the double. In early 1995, Ilić moved abroad to South Korean club Busan Daewoo Royals. He later spent three seasons with Hamburger SV from 1997 to 2000, making just two Intertoto Cup appearances. After his second stint at Vardar, Ilić moved to Iran to play for Pirouzi in the 2003–04 season and Esteghlal Ahvaz in the 2004–05 season. Saša Ilić (Serbian Cyrillic: Саша Илић, or ; born 18 July 1972) is a Serbian Australian retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Melbourne, Ilić started playing soccer with Sydney-based Bonnyrigg White Eagles. He later moved to his parents' home country and started playing for Grafičar Beograd in the Belgrade Zone League, before signing with Radnički Beograd of the First League of FR Yugoslavia. Ilić later joined Charlton Athletic, where he became most well-known. He was a regular in goal in the latter half of the 1997–98 season and kept a record 9 clean sheets in a row, including both play-off semi-finals against Ipswich Town. The run was ended as Charlton gained promotion after a classic 4–4 play-off final, in which he saved the deciding penalty from Michael Gray in a 7–6 win over Sunderland on penalties in the First Division play-off final. Saša Ilić (; born 9 October 1972) is a Serbian writer. Works Most of Ilić's early works were published in the magazine Reč, where he debuted in January 1995. In 1998, he co-authored a book titled Odyssey with Dragan Bošković. In 2000, he published the prose book ''Premonition of a Civil War'', the first book in the Reč edition. His novel ''Berlin Window'', for which he received a scholarship from the Borislav Pekić Foundation, was shortlisted for the NIN Award in 2005. In 2015, he published two collections of stories, ''Dušanovac Stop'', which won a special recognition for its graphic design at the Belgrade Book Fair, and ''Urchin Hunt''.
