Savio Rodrigues
Savio Oliver Ignatius Rodrigues (born 31 July 1976) is an Indian journalist and politician based in Velim, Goa. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of ''Goa Chronicle'', a news portal. Rodrigues is also a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Goa (BJP) and a former spokesperson of the party. Early life Savio Oliver Ignatius Rodrigues was born on 31 July 1976 in Mumbai to Ignatius Rosario Rodrigues. He claims to profess Christian faith but with "Hindu roots". He received graduation in Bachelor of Arts, and continued with Bachelor of Laws (B.A LL.B) (first year) at the Government Law College, Mumbai. Career Rodrigues began his career at the age of 20 in the fields of journalism, communications and entrepreneurship. During his early years he built his career in media, environmental sciences and technology in India. Goans (Romi Konkani: , ) is the demonym used to describe the people native to Goa, India, formerly part of Portuguese India (''Estado Português da Índia''). They form an ethno-linguistic group resulting from the assimilation of Indo-Aryan, Dravidian, Indo-Portuguese, Austro-Asiatic ethnic and/or linguistic ancestries.
