Satoshi Kon
was a Japanese film director, animator, screenwriter and manga artist from Sapporo, Hokkaido, and a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association (JAniCA). He was a graduate of the Graphic Design department of the Musashino Art University. He is best known for his acclaimed anime films '' Perfect Blue'' (1997), '' Millennium Actress'' (2001), ''Tokyo Godfathers'' (2003), and ''Paprika'' (2006), and the TV series '' Paranoia Agent'' (2004). In 2010, Kon died of pancreatic cancer at age 46. Biography Early life Satoshi Kon was born on October 12, 1963. Due to his father's job transfer, Kon's education from the fourth elementary grade up to the second middle-school grade was based in Sapporo. Sapporo
is a Cities designated by government ordinance of Japan, designated city in Hokkaido, Japan. Paprika (2006 Film)
is a 2006 Japanese adult animated surrealistic science fantasy psychological thriller film directed by Satoshi Kon, who co-wrote the screenplay with Seishi Minakami. It is based on the 1993 novel of the same name by Yasutaka Tsutsui. The Japanese voice cast stars Megumi Hayashibara, Tōru Emori, Katsunosuke Hori, Tōru Furuya, Akio Ōtsuka, Kōichi Yamadera, and Hideyuki Tanaka. "The Movie" is the fourteenth episode of the fourth season of the American television sitcom ''Seinfeld'' (and the 54th episode overall). Mamoru Oshii
is a Japanese filmmaker, television director and writer. Famous for his philosophy-oriented storytelling, Oshii has directed a number of acclaimed anime films, including ''Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer'' (1984), ''Angel's Egg'' (1985), ''Patlabor 2: The Movie'' (1993), and ''Ghost in the Shell (1995 film), Ghost in the Shell'' (1995). Katsuhiro Otomo
is a Japanese Mangaka, manga artist, screenwriter, animator, and film director. He first rose to prominence as a pioneer founder of the New Wave (manga), New Wave in the 1970s. He is best known as the creator of ''Akira (franchise), Akira'', both the Akira (manga), original 1982 manga series and the Akira (1988 film), 1988 animated film adaptation.
