Aleksandra "Sasha" Alexeyevna Luss () is a Russian-American fashion model and actress best known for portraying the titular character in the 2019 action thriller film ''Anna (2019 feature film), Anna''. Early life Luss was born in Magadan, Magadan Oblast, and moved to Moscow at a young age. As a child, she had no interest in modeling, preferring to spend her time writing and dancing. She frequently participated in ballet competitions before an ankle injury ended her hobby. Her mother's friends and even strangers would compliment Sasha's modeling potential. When Sasha was 13, her mother took her to visit a modeling agency, where she was signed. The Pirelli Calendar, known and trade-marked as "The Cal", is an annual trade calendar which has been published by the UK subsidiary of the Italian tyre manufacturing company Pirelli since 1964. The calendar has a reputation for its choice of photographers and models and featured glamour photography from the 1980s until the 2010s.
