Sarah Moore (journalist)
Professor Sarah Jones (Moore) is a former British television reporter and presenter. Moore is now an academic and professor having worked at numerous British higher education institutions and since June 2024, has been the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Education at Solent University in Southampton. Moore grew up in Redditch, Worcestershire, England and studied Philosophy at the University of Warwick. Whilst at University she competed nationally in Latin and Ballroom dancing. She then studied at Cardiff Journalism School, whilst at the same time gaining work experience as a weekend news editor for a radio station in Wolverhampton, where she produced and presented news bulletins. She undertook her course work placement at ITV Central. Sarah Moore, formerly known as Sarah Hamilton-Byrne (8 July 1969 – May 2016), was an Australian medical doctor and writer who spent her childhood in The Family, a new religious movement run by Anne Hamilton-Byrne, her adoptive mother. She was instrumental in having the group investigated by the police in Victoria, Australia. She later wrote a book about her experiences in The Family. Early life and education Moore's biological mother was an unmarried teenager who put her daughter up for adoption in 1969. Moore was adopted by Anne Hamilton-Byrne, a charismatic yoga teacher who gathered a number of followers around her who believed that she was the incarnation of Christ. Moore was meant to be one of the "inheritors of the earth" after a holocaust took place. Sarah Claire Moore (born 22 October 1993) is a British racing driver. She won the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2009 and competed in the InterSteps Championship in 2011. She was awarded the Rising Star status by the British Racing Drivers' Club in 2009. Moore was the first female racing driver to win a TOCA-sanctioned race, and the first to win a junior mixed-gender, national-level series in the UK. She is the first female to have won the Britcar Endurance Championship. Career Moore, born in Harrogate, competed in the Rotax Mini Max class of the Stars of Tomorrow National Championship in 2007, finishing 24th. She also drove for Tockwith Motorsports in both the Ginetta Junior Championship and the Ginetta Junior Winter Championship. Sarah Wool Moore
Sarah Wool Moore (1846–1911) was an artist and art teacher, as well as a language instructor, who was the first director of the Art Department at the University of Nebraska and founded the Nebraska Art Association. After leaving Nebraska, she taught in New York City. Disturbed by the intolerance shown to Italian immigrants, Moore worked as secretary of the New York Society for Italian Immigrants. In that capacity, she founded and taught at several language schools in New York and Pennsylvania to facilitate Italian immigrants learning of English. She also wrote English-Italian handbooks to help immigrants quickly learn the language they would use on a daily basis.
