Santosh Marray
Santosh Kumar Marray (born 1957) is the eleventh and current bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Easton. Before this, he served as assistant bishop for both the Diocese of Alabama (2012-2016) and the Diocese of East Carolina (2009-2012). Prior to that, he was Bishop of Seychelles. He was ordained as a priest in 1981, and served in this capacity in Florida, Guyana, and the Bahamas before being consecrated as bishop. Biography Bishop Marray is the third of six children born to the late Gurdat and Chandrawati Marray in Guyana, South America. He was reared as a Hindu, the traditional religion of his parents and ancestors, and converted to Christianity when he was 16 years old while attending a small, rural Anglican church. He earned a B.A. in theology from the University of West Indies, and a diploma in pastoral studies from Codrington College in Barbados. Episcopal Diocese Of Easton
The Episcopal Diocese of Easton is a diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America that comprises the nine counties that make up the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It is in Province III (the Middle Atlantic region) and was created as a split from the Diocese of Maryland in 1868. The diocese consists of the Eastern Shore of Maryland (the nine counties of Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester), and has a total membership of about 9,750 people, out of a total population of 420,792, according to a 2004 census estimate. There are 39 parishes and missions in the diocese. Its largest cities are Salisbury, Ocean City, and Easton, the centrally located city from which the diocese takes its name and where Trinity Cathedral, the bishop's seat, is located. Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School is a Baptist seminary in Rochester, New York. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. Coadjutor Bishop
A coadjutor bishop (or bishop coadjutor) ("co-assister" in Latin) is a bishop in the Latin Catholic, Anglican and (historically) Eastern Orthodox churches whose main role is to assist the diocesan bishop in administering the diocese. The coadjutor automatically succeeds the diocesan bishop when he retires, dies or leaves office for another reason. In the Latin Catholic Church, the coadjutor is a priest or bishop appointed by the pope in Rome. He is considered the principal deputy administrator of the diocese. In the Eastern Catholic churches, the adjutor may be appointed by the pope or by the church itself. John McKee "Kee" Sloan (born November 13, 1955) is an American prelate who served most recently as the eleventh Bishop of Alabama.
