Santiago Scala
Santiago Nicolás Scala (born 6 February 1991) is an Argentine basketball player for Boca Juniors of the Liga Nacional de Básquet (LNB). At a height of tall, he plays at the point guard position. Professional career Argentina Scala began his professional career at Argentino de Junín, a club in his hometown. His first two seasons with the Buenos Aires team were in the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso, the second division of Argentine basketball. After becoming champions in 2010, Argentino de Junín was promoted to the LNB, which allowed Scala to show that he could play in the top category. The following season however, his team was relegated from the LNB. In 2011, Scala was signed by the Chubut-based club Gimnasia Indalo with a contract for two seasons. At the end of those seasons, he renewed for two more seasons. In the 2014–2015 season he reached the LNB finals for the first time in his career, losing to Quimsa. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time.
