Sanjay Gupta
Sanjay Gupta (born October 23, 1969) is an American neurosurgeon, medical reporter, and writer. He serves as associate chief of the neurosurgery service at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, associate professor of neurosurgery at the Emory University School of Medicine, member of the National Academy of Medicine and American Academy of Arts and Sciences and is the chief medical correspondent for CNN. Gupta is known for his many TV appearances on health-related issues. During the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, he has been a frequent contributor to numerous CNN shows covering the crisis, as well as hosting a weekly town hall with Anderson Cooper. Gupta was the host of the CNN show '' Sanjay Gupta MD'' for which he has won multiple Emmy Awards. Gupta also hosted the 6-part miniseries ''Chasing Life''. ''American Morning'' is an American three-hour morning television news program that aired on CNN from 2001 to 2011. ''American Morning'' debuted with anchors Paula Zahn and Anderson Cooper on the day after the September 11 attacks, five months earlier than planned, replacing ''CNN Early Edition'' and ''CNN Live This Morning''. Cooper was replaced by Bill Hemmer in February 2002. The show's next permanent co-anchors were Soledad O'Brien and Miles O'Brien, who fronted the show from 2003 to 2007. They were replaced by John Roberts and Kiran Chetry due to poor ratings. After Roberts and Chetry left in 2011, the show did not have a permanent anchor team and was shelved by CNN at the end of the year. Damyanti Gupta
Damyanti Gupta is an Indian-born American engineer who was the first woman engineer with a postgraduate degree at the Ford Motor Company. She was recognized by Time Magazine in their collection of firsts as the "First degreed engineer at Ford." Early life Damyanti Gupta was born in India on May 10, 1942, during British rule. The partition and division of India happened during her childhood, and the place where she and her family resided became a part of Pakistan. The partition resulted in unrest and riots. Gupta and her family left their hometown, Tharushah, Sindh, overnight in a cargo ship and settled in Mumbai. As refugees, the Guptas had to start over in a new place. Marc Hodosh ( ; born December 25, 1972) is an American entrepreneur who formerly owned, co-created and hosted the TEDMED conference. Charity Hospital (New Orleans)
Charity Hospital was one of two teaching hospitals which were part of the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans, Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans (MCLNO), the other being University Hospital, New Orleans, University Hospital. Three weeks after the events of Hurricane Katrina, then-Governor Kathleen Blanco said that Charity Hospital would not reopen as a functioning hospital.
