Sandy Arespacochaga
Alexander "Sandy" Arespacochaga (born April 6, 1977) is a former collegiate basketball player who currently serves as an assistant coach of Ateneo Blue Eagles, and TNT Tropang 5G. Career Ateneo Arespacocahaga played for the Blue Eagles from 1993 to 1997. He served as the head coach of the team twice, first in 2004, at the age of 29, with Norman Black as its consultant. After Black's reassignment to Talk and Text, and joining him in 2012, Arespacochaga was also a top candidate to be the next head coach, but Bo Perasol was chosen. He returned as head coach in 2016 with Tab Baldwin as consultant, but only for a short period as Baldwin formally takes over and reappointing him as assistant coach. PBA Arespacochaga joined Norman Black in Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters in 2012. Philippines Men's National Under-19 Basketball Team
The men's national under-19 basketball team of the Philippines represents the country in junior men's under-18 and under-19 FIBA tournaments and is governed by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas. The team has won 6 FIBA Under-18 Asia Cups making them second with the most wins in the tournament next to China. The team is also the perennial powerhouse at Southeast Asia, representing the subzone in the FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship, except in 2000, 2002 and 2006. Since 2008, they have not lost any single game at the SEABA Under-18 Championship, winning their fourth straight title and seventh overall since the subzone organized the tournament in 1996. 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship
The 2010 Philippine Collegiate Championship was the third tournament of the Philippine Collegiate Championship (PCC) for basketball in its current incarnation, and the eighth edition overall. The champion teams from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) and 3 other Metro Manila leagues took part in the final tournament dubbed as the "Sweet Sixteen". Other teams had to qualify in the zonal tournaments to round out the 16 teams in the tournament. The defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles defeated the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the championship to make it back-to-back; the De La Salle Green Archers and the UC Webmasters disputed third place, with La Salle winning. TNT Tropang Giga
The TNT Tropang 5G is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990. The franchise began in 1990 when Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) acquired a PBA franchise. Under PCPPI, the franchise played under the names Pepsi and 7 Up. In 1996, the franchise came under the control of Pilipino Telephone Corporation (Piltel) and played under the name Mobiline. In 2001, the franchise was renamed Talk 'N Text after the operations of Piltel was absorbed by Smart Communications. Tab Baldwin
Thomas Anthony "Tab" Baldwin (born 16 May 1958) is an American-New Zealand basketball coach who currently serves as the head of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth national basketball programme and head coach for the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Baldwin also served as a consultant of Philippine Basketball Association club team TNT Tropang Giga. Coaching career New Zealand Baldwin was born in Jacksonville, Florida and played for the Bishop Kenny High School under the coaching of his father, who played basketball for Notre Dame in the 1930s. From Jacksonville Beach, he went to New Zealand in 1988 to coach the Otago Nuggets. He was promoted with them from the second division to the NBL and then joined the Auckland Stars in 1994.
