San Antonio, Quezon City
San Antonio is one of the 142 barangays of Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Area and Location San Antonio is bounded by the Dario River in the East, Judge Juan Luna Street in the West, Pat Senador and Baler Streets in the south and the Halang Creek in the north. Nearby barangays are Veterans Village (Project 7), Bahay Toro, Bungad, Katipunan, Del Monte and Paltok. San Francisco del Monte San Antonio is a part of the San Francisco del Monte area named after its benevolent Spanish friar and founder, St. Francis of Assisi. Founded by Saint Pedro Bautista on February 17, 1590, it was meant to be a place of solitude or "retreat" nestled atop a hill. Roosevelt Avenue, Quezon City
Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue (also referred to as FPJ Avenue and still commonly referred as its former name Roosevelt Avenue) is the principal north–south tertiary road serving the San Francisco del Monte district (colloquially known as Frisco) of Quezon City, Philippines. It runs with a length of between Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) to the north and Quezon Avenue to the south. The avenue is named after Fernando Poe Jr., a renowned actor and National Artist of the Philippines. As Roosevelt Avenue, it was named after United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt. Typhoon Ondoy (2009)
Typhoon Ketsana, known in the Philippines as Tropical Storm Ondoy, was the second-most devastating tropical cyclone of the 2009 Pacific typhoon season, causing $1.15 billion in damages and 921 fatalities, only behind Morakot earlier in the season, which caused 789 deaths and damages worth $6.2 billion. Ketsana was the sixteenth tropical storm, and the eighth typhoon of the season. It was the most devastating tropical cyclone to hit Manila, surpassing Typhoon Patsy (Yoling) in 1970. Sangguniang Kabataan
Sangguniang Kabataan (abbreviated as SK; ) is a council meant to represent the youth in each barangay in the Philippines. It was put "on hold", but not quite abolished, prior to the 2013 barangay elections. In January 2016, the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act was signed into law which made some significant changes to the SK and initially scheduled new elections for October 2016. In March 2017, the elections were postponed anew to May 2018. The SK Chairman leads the Sangguniang Kabataan. A Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) composed of representatives of different local youth groups supports the SK and its programs. The Sangguniang Kabataan is the successor of the Kabataang Barangay (KB; ) which was abolished by the Local Government Code of 1991. Timog Avenue is a major road located in Quezon City within the Diliman area of northeastern Metro Manila, Philippines. It runs east–west through the southern edge of the barangay of South Triangle and is used to be named in English as South Avenue. The Basilica Menor de San Pedro Bautista ''(Minor Basilica of Saint Pedro Bautista)'', also known as the San Francisco del Monte Church is a parish church in the San Francisco del Monte district of Quezon City, in the Philippines.
