Sam Hamm
Sam Hamm (born November 19, 1955) is an American screenwriter and comic book writer. Hamm is known for writing the initial drafts of the screenplay for the 1989 ''Batman'' movie before those duties were handed over to Warren Skaaren. He also received a story credit for ''Batman Returns'' (though the final version of the movie differs significantly from his ideas). DC Comics invited Hamm to write for ''Detective Comics ''Detective Comics'' (later retitled as ''Batman Detective Comics'') is an American comic book series published by Detective Comics, later shortened to DC Comics. ''R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse'' is a 2003 short 4-D film. It debuted in several United States theme parks, including SeaWorld San Diego and SeaWorld San Antonio. The film was created by Busch Entertainment Corporation and Lookout Entertainment. It is the first 3-D film featured at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The film was shot in 3D using a 5 perforation/70mm format. The effects in the show include water/air jets and seats wired with special effects (buzzers), remote speakers, and other tactile elements. The ending features water cannons mounted under the screen which soak many people in the theater. Plot The film tells the story of the ghosts of two children who are cursed to remain forever on a Cape Cod beach and in a 19th-century era lighthouse. The Screwfly Solution
"The Screwfly Solution" is a 1977 science fiction novella by Raccoona Sheldon, a pen name for American psychologist Alice Sheldon, who also wrote as James Tiptree Jr. The story is about a misogynistic cult. When the story was first published in June 1977, the identity of Alice Sheldon as both Tiptree and Raccoona Sheldon was unknown to the public or anyone in the science fiction community; the identity behind the pen-names was revealed by the end of the same year. "The Screwfly Solution" received the Nebula Award for Best Novelette in 1978, and has been adapted into a television film. It is included in Tiptree's anthology '' Out of the Everywhere and Other Extraordinary Visions''.
