Sam Gyimah
Samuel Phillip Gyimah (; born 10 August 1976) is a British politician and banker who served as the Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for East Surrey (UK Parliament constituency), East Surrey from 2010 United Kingdom general election, 2010 to 2019 United Kingdom general election, 2019. First elected as a Conservative Party (UK), Conservative, Gyimah rebelled against the government to block a no-deal Brexit and had the Conservative 2019 suspension of rebel Conservative MPs, whip removed in September 2019. He subsequently joined the Liberal Democrats (UK), Liberal Democrats and stood unsuccessfully for them in Kensington (UK Parliament constituency), Kensington at the 2019 general election. Peter Michael Ainsworth (16 November 1956 – 6 April 2021) was a British Conservative politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for East Surrey from 1992 to 2010.
