Sally Bretton
Sally Davis (born 23 April 1980), known professionally as Sally Bretton, is an English actress. She is best known for appearing as Lucy Adams in the long-running BBC television sitcom ''Not Going Out'' since 2007, and as Martha Lloyd in the BBC crime drama '' Death in Paradise'' between 2016 and 2017, a role she has reprised in the spin-off, '' Beyond Paradise'', since 2023. Other roles include Donna in '' The Office'' in 2001, Cat Durnford in '' Absolute Power'' in 2003, and Kim Alabaster in '' Green Wing'' between 2004 and 2006. Goneril is a character in William Shakespeare's tragic play ''King Lear'' (1605). She is the eldest of Leir of Britain, King Lear's three daughters. ''Sunburn'' is a British television series that followed the lives of a group of British holiday reps. It was broadcast on BBC One between 16 January 1999 and 11 March 2000, running for two series of six and eight episodes respectively. The first was set and filmed in Cyprus and the second in Algarve. The cast included Michelle Collins, Rebecca Callard, Sharon Small, George Layton and Sean Maguire, with Paul Nicholas joining later. The series was created by Mike Bullen, who was interested in the behind-the-scenes lives of holiday reps after watching the docusoap ''Holiday Reps''. Bullen wrote most of the first series but scaled back his involvement in the second; most of that series' episodes were written by Lizzie Mickery. ''Screen One'' is a British television anthology drama series, produced by the BBC and distributed by BBC Worldwide, that was transmitted on BBC One from 1989 to 1998. A total of six series were broadcast, incorporating sixty individual films, several of which were broadcast as stand-alone specials. The series was born following the demise of the BBC's '' Play for Today'', which ran from 1970 to 1984.
