Sailing At The 1968 Summer Olympics – Finn
The Finn was a sailing event on the Sailing at the 1968 Summer Olympics program in Acapulco. Seven races were scheduled. 36 sailors, on 36 boats, from 36 nations competed. Results DNF = Did Not Finish, DNS= Did Not Start, DSQ = Disqualified 13px = Male, 13px = Female Daily standings Conditions at Acapulco Of the total of three race areas were needed during the Olympics in Acapulco. Acapulco
Acapulco de Juárez (), commonly called Acapulco ( , also , nah, Acapolco), is a city and major seaport in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, south of Mexico City. Paul Henderson (sailor)
Paul Franklin Henderson (born 17 November 1934) is a former president of the International Sailing Federation, renamed since as World Sailing, and is a member of the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. Sailing career Living on Toronto Island around boats and sailing Henderson learned the basics of the sport, as well as the values and importance of sport early in life. He became a very active competitor in sailing, winning medals at World, North American and National Championships. He has the record of having competed in all the Canadian Olympic Sailing Trials from 1948 to 1984. Boudewijn Binkhorst
Hans Boudewijn Binkhorst (17 September 1942 – 16 July 2021) was a Dutch sailor who represented his country at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Acapulco. Binkhorst, on the Dutch Finn, took the 19th place. Since in 1980 The Netherlands did boycott the Moscow Olympic Games Binkhorst in the Star represented his National Olympic Committee under the Dutch NOC flag . With crew member Kobus Vandenberg.
