Sahara One
Sahara One is an Indian Hindi general entertainment channel based in New Delhi. It was operated by Sahara India Pariwar. History Sahara One was launched as Sahara TV on 28 March 2000, which later was renamed as Sahara Manoranjan in April 2003. To compete with other channels and attract more audience, the channel once again changed its name to Sahara One on 10 October 2004 under the leadership of Sandeep Bhargava. The channel launched in the United States in 2005 on EchoStar along with the sister channel Filmy, also launched and headed by Sandeep Bhargava. Sahara one stopped airing new shows 2015 due to declined television rating points and being beaten by new channel like life ok. It is viewed as FTA Channel on Asiasat 7 but repeats old shows. The show was hosted by Yash Pathak and included various cartoon series like The Great Book Of Nature, Zorro, The Story Of Cinderella, Christopher Columbus, Sandokan, Denver - The Last Dinosaur, Jungle Book etc. Most of these animated series were Italian-Japanese and translated into Hindi after Sahara TV has acquired from the internationally popular Mondo TV, telecast rights for 260 hours of animated children's programming.
