Sahar Nusseibeh
Sahar Nusseibeh (born May 7, 1987) is a women's basketball head coach and former player. She is the current head coach of the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team. She previously served as the head coach at Canisius University. Early life and education Nusseibeh is from Uniontown, Ohio. She attended North Canton High School in North Canton, Ohio where she played high school basketball. She played college basketball for American University from 2005 through 2009 where she received her bachelor's degree in international business. She earned an MBA from the University of Cincinnati in 2011. Eastern Michigan Eagles Women's Basketball
The Eastern Michigan Eagles women's basketball team represents Eastern Michigan University, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, in women's basketball. At the team's establishment in 1977 the team was known as the Hurons, and it, along with all EMU teams, became known as the Eagles in 1991. Season-by-season record As of the end of the 2015–16 season, the Eagles had a 550–563 record, with a 265–318 record in the Mid-American Conference, which they have played in since 1981. Suzy Merchant has the best record as coach, going 147–91 in nine years before stepping down as coach due to pregnancy four games into the 2006–07 season. The Eagles have won the West Division of the Mid-American conference five times, in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2012. North Canton, Ohio
North Canton is a city in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 17,842 at the 2020 census. It is a suburb in the Canton–Massillon metropolitan area. History North Canton was established as the village of New Berlin in 1831. Residents were primarily of German descent. During World War I, it became unfashionable to be associated with anything German so in 1918, the community changed the name of the village to North Canton. William H. “Boss” Hoover moved his tannery business from the family farm to the center of the New Berlin village in 1873. The 2024–25 Eastern Michigan Eagles women's basketball team represents Eastern Michigan University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC, ) is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. A graduate assistant serves in a support role at a university, usually while completing post-graduate education. The assistant typically helps professors with instructional responsibilities as teaching assistants or with academic research responsibilities as research assistants, aids coaches with an athletic team, or is employed by other university departments (such as housing or academic advising).
