Saeid Fazloula
Saeid Fazloula (; born 9 August 1992) is an Iranian retired Canoe sprint, canoeist who now lives in Germany after fleeing Iran in 2015. He competed in the Canoeing at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's K-1 1000 metres, men's K-1 1000 metres event at the 2020 Summer Olympics and Canoeing at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Men's K-1 1000 metres, as well as at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Both times, he represented the IOC Refugee Olympic Team at the 2020 Summer Olympics, IOC Refugee Olympic Team (ROT), being the first canoeist on the ROT. Previously, while representing Iran, he was a silver medalist at the Asian Canoeing Championships, Asian Championships and the 2014 Asian Games. Canoe Sprint
Canoe sprint is a water sport in which athletes race in specially designed sprint canoes or sprint kayaks on calm water over a short distance. Prior to November 2008, canoe sprint was known as flatwater racing. The term is still in use today but is often used as a hypernym for both canoe marathon and canoe sprint. Similarly, the term 'canoeing' is used to describe both kayaking and canoeing. The sport is governed by the International Canoe Federation (ICF), which recognises four official distances and three boat classes in which athletes can compete. Detlef Hofmann
Detlef Hofmann (born 12 November 1963 in Karlsruhe) is a German sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1980s to the late 1990s. He won a gold medal in the K-4 1000 m event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Hofmann won five medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with three golds (K-4 500 m: 1991, K-4 1000 m: 1995, K-4 10000 m: 1991) and two silvers (K-4 500 m: 1995, K-4 1000 m: 1991).
