Saanen
Saanen (; Highest Alemannic: ''Saanä'') is a municipality in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It is the capital of the Obersimmental-Saanen administrative district. History The village was first mentioned in 1228 as ''Gissinay''. In 1340 it was mentioned as ''Sanon''. During the Bronze Age there was a hill fort on the Cholis Grind near the modern village of Saanen. The region was occupied by the Gallo-Romans until the 10th or 11th century when the Alamanni began to drive them out. This migration created the modern language borders in Switzerland. During the Middle Ages several forts were built to guard the mule trails into the Valais and Vaud. Saanenmöser (el. 1279 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Bernese Oberland in the Alps in Switzerland. It connects Zweisimmen and Saanen. The Montreux–Lenk im Simmental line also crosses the pass. GoldenPass Express
The ''GoldenPass Express'' is a luxury railway service that operates as a Panorama Express (PE) train between Montreux, on Lake Geneva, and Interlaken, in the Bernese Oberland, in Switzerland. The train is owned and operated jointly by the Montreux Oberland Bernois Railway (MOB) and BLS AG (BLS). As such, it uses the MOB's gauge line between Montreux and Zweisimmen. In , the train cars change gauges in order to operate on BLS' gauge lines from Zweisimmen to Spiez and then from Spiez to Interlaken. The Libero-Tarifverbund is a Swiss tariff network covering the canton of Bern and the southwestern part of the canton of Solothurn.
