Arthur Eve
Arthur Owen Eve (born March 23, 1933) is a retired American politician who served as a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly (1967–2002) and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly (1979–2002) representing districts in Buffalo, New York. He was the first Dominican-American elected to public office in the United States, and the first African American to win a Buffalo mayoral Democratic primary but was defeated in the following mayoral election. Eve was elected a New York State Assemblyman in 1966 and by the time of his retirement in 2002 had served in the New York State Assembly (143rd District 1967–82, 141st District 1983–2002) longer than any other incumbent member. Pat Occhiuto
Pat Occhiuto is a retired Italian-American soccer forward who played professionally in the American Soccer League, United Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League and National Professional Soccer League. Occhiuto attended Erie Community College where he played soccer in 1975 and 1976. He was inducted into the Erie Community College Hall of Fame in 1998. He then transferred to SUNY Fredonia where he completed his collegiate soccer eligibility with three seasons on the men's soccer team. Norman McCombs (born c. 1937) is a businessman and 2013 recipient of the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. McCombs developed an oxygen production system that helped ease the pain of millions suffering from lung diseases. President Barack Obama presented the medal to McCombs on February 1, 2013 at the White House. Early life and education McCombs was born in 1937 in Amherst, New York. Mickey Harmon
Michael Thoren Harmon (May 13, 1984 – March 4, 2025) was an American visual artist, graphic designer and queer activist. He was a prominent fixture of the Allentown, Buffalo, Allentown district of Buffalo, New York, living and working within the neighborhood. His commissioned murals and paintings were highly regarded, and he regularly organized community events to support the arts.
