Air Marshal (India), Air Marshal Sujeet Pushpakar Dharkar, PVSM, Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, UYSM, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, AVSM, was an officer in the Indian Air Force. He served as the 48th Vice Chief of the Air Staff (India), Vice Chief of the Air Staff from 3 October 2024 to 30 April 2025. Indian Air Force Academy, Dundigal is a Defence Service training institute located in Medchal-Malkajgiri district from Hyderabad, in the Indian state of Telangana. The academy was set up to train cadets from the Indian Air Force cadre of officers. It imparts training to the flying, technical and ground duty branches as well as officers of the Indian Navy & the Indian Coast Guard. This is a home for the officer trainees who learn their specialisation and are nurtured to become capable leaders. The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint Military, defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces. Here, cadets of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force train together before they go on to their respective service academies for further pre-commission training. The South Western Air Command (SWAC) is one of the five operational commands of the Indian Air Force, headquartered in Gandhinagar. It was raised in Jodhpur in July 1980 from the No.1 Operations Group of the Western Air Command. Its operations sector includes most of Rajasthan, through Gujarat and Saurashtra, as far south as Kutch and Pune.
