Sic58 Squadra Corse is an Italian motorcycle racing team founded by Paolo Simoncelli in honour of his son, Marco Simoncelli (1987–2011). The team competes in the Moto3 World Championship and MotoE World Cup under the name Ongetta Sic58 Squadra Corse, and the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior World Championship and European Talent Cup. History The team was formed by Paolo Simoncelli in 2013 after the death of his son, MotoGP rider Marco Simoncelli, at the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix. The Misano World Circuit (officially known as Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli or Misano Circuit Sic 58, and before 2006 called Circuito Internazionale Santa Monica Misano) is a race track located next to the town of Misano Adriatico ( Province of Rimini) in the frazione of Santa Monica-Cella. Niccolò Antonelli (born 23 February 1996) is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racing, Grand Prix motorcycle racer set to compete in the 2023 FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship for Team MMR. He most recently competed in the 2022 Moto2 World Championship, riding for VR46 Racing Team, Mooney VR46 Racing Team. Antonelli won the Italian 125GP Championship in 2011. 2018 Moto3 Season
The 2018 FIM Moto3 World Championship was a part of the 70th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Joan Mir was the reigning series champion, but he did not defend his title as he joined Moto2. After winning at Sepang, Spanish rider Jorge Martín was crowned the 2018 Moto3 World Champion, having created an unassailable lead of 26 points over current runners-up Marco Bezzecchi. The final race in Valencia saw wildcard rider Can Öncü become the youngest Grand Prix motorcycle racing winner at 15 years, 115 days. Fausto Gresini
Fausto Gresini (23 January 1961 – 23 February 2021) was an Italian professional motorcycle road racer and racing team manager. He competed in Grand Prix motorcycle racing from to , most prominently as a two-time 125cc world champion riding for the Garelli factory racing team. After his racing career, he formed the Gresini Racing team which he operated until his death from COVID-19 in 2021. Motorcycle racing career Gresini was born at Imola. He began racing in 1978 at the age of 17 on a Minarelli 50 in Italy, and in 1983 he joined the Grand Prix circuit with the MBA team. During his riding career, Gresini won two world championship titles in the 125cc class in 1985 and 1987.
