S98 (New York City Bus)
The S48 and S98 constitutes two bus routes in Staten Island, New York, running primarily on Victory Boulevard and Forest Avenue, between St. George Ferry Terminal and Arlington. It is operated by the New York City Transit Authority. The S48 was originally the R107 bus route, and was renumbered to S107, then the S48 in 1989. The S98 was created in 1995 as a limited stop variant of the S48. Route description and service The S48 begins at the St. George Ferry Terminal at Ramp C, and continues along Bay Street until it goes on Victory Boulevard. It goes on the boulevard for a length until it turns to Forest Avenue. It then continues on Forest Avenue until it turns to South Avenue, and uses Arlington Place to access the terminus. Buses heading eastbound use Holland Avenue and Richmond Terrance to access South Avenue. Some buses terminate or start at Richmond Avenue during rush hours in the peak direction. Vista Field
Vista Field was a public use airport in Benton County, Washington, United States. The airport was located northwest of the central business district of Kennewick and was owned by the Port of Kennewick. It was also known as Vista Field Airport. Several shipping carriers operated out of the airport. There had been controversy in recent years over whether or not to continue to operate the airport or to shut it down; it was officially closed on December 31, 2013, due to operating costs. The Port of Kennewick plans to redevelop the site into a mixed-use residential and commercial neighborhood with parks and plazas. Several streets were laid in the early 2020s ahead of property sales for development. During World War II in the 1940s, it was an auxiliary field for nearby Naval Air Station Pasco, training naval aviators. The Port of Kennewick acquired the airport in 1991. The Toyota Center arena, opened in 1988 as the Tri-Cities Coliseum, is adjacent to the northwest. Facilities ...
