Philippine Air Lines Flight S26
Philippine Air Lines Flight S26 was a domestic flight that departed from Mandurriao Airport in Iloilo on 23 November 1960 at 17:33 PHT to Manila International Airport near Manila. At 18:33 the crew gave its last position report before crashing on the slopes of Mount Baco in the island of Mindoro at . When it failed to give a position report at 19:00, attempts were made to contact the aircraft on all frequencies, but were unsuccessful. Aircraft and crew The aircraft was a Douglas DC-3 manufactured in the United States during World War II and purchased by Philippine Air Lines in 1946. The plane was acquired in 1948 and registered as PI-C142 a year later. In 1953, PI-C142 made a forced landing in a rice paddy near Tuguegarao with no fatalities. It was repaired and re-registered to PI-C133 in 1954. The plane had around 18,000 flight hours at the time of the crash. It held a valid airworthiness certificate that expired in September 1961. The S26 is a service of the Berlin S-Bahn. It runs from Teltow in the district (''Kreis'') of Potsdam-Mittelmark via Südkreuz, through the Berlin Nord-Süd Tunnel with a stop at Friedrichstraße, and ends in Blankenburg in the borough of Pankow. Rheineck–Walzenhausen Mountain Railway
The Rheineck–Walzenhausen mountain railway (; RhW) is a long rack railway in Switzerland. It links Rheineck railway station, Rheineck station, in the Rheineck, municipality of Rheineck and the canton of St Gallen, with the village and health resort of Walzenhausen, in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Passenger service on the line now forms part of the St. Gallen S-Bahn, branded as the S26. The S26 is also part of the Bodensee S-Bahn. The line is owned and operated by the Appenzell Railways company, which also operates several other railway lines in the two Appenzell cantons. The Aargau S-Bahn ( or ) is an S-Bahn-style regional rail network serving the canton of Aargau, Switzerland, with some services extending into the cantons of Bern, Lucerne, Solothurn and Zug and one service to the German city of Waldshut-Tiengen. The Shanghai–Changzhou Expressway (), commonly referred to as the Huchang Expressway (), is a completed that connects the cities of Shanghai and Changzhou. In Shanghai, it is designated S26, and in Jiangsu, it is designated S58.
