S1 (Berlin)
The S1 is a railway service of the Berlin S-Bahn that operates between and . Operations The southern end of the line is at , on the Wannsee Railway. Trains run north over that line to Anhalter Bahnhof where they enter the Berlin Nord-Süd Tunnel, exiting at Berlin Nordbahnhof. Between Berlin Nordbahnhof and trains use the Berlin-Szczecin railway. Finally, trains use the southern end of the Berlin Northern Railway between Bornholmer Straße and . the S1 operates every 10 minutes between Wannsee and and every 20 minutes between Frohnau and Oranienburg. Since becoming a numbered route in 1984, the S1's line colour is pink. Berlin Gesundbrunnen station () is a railway station in Berlin, Germany. It is situated in the Gesundbrunnen district, part of the central Mitte borough, as an interconnection point between the northern ''Ringbahn'' and '' Nord-Süd Tunnel'' lines of the Berlin S-Bahn, as well as a regional and long distance station of the Deutsche Bahn network. West Berlin ( or , ) was a political enclave which comprised the western part of Berlin from 1948 until 1990, during the Cold War. S3 (Berlin)
S3 is a line on the Berlin S-Bahn. It operates from Erkner to Spandau. For most of its existence since becoming a numbered route in 1984, the S3's line has been coloured blue. S3 originally was shortened to Ostbahnhof from 2003 to 2009 while awaiting renovation works. To compensate for the diminished throughput on the Stadtbahn, the (formerly Erkner ↔ Ostbahnhof) was extended westwards to Spandau. Then, it was temporarily shortened again to Ostkreuz. Berlin Nordbahnhof () is a railway station in the Mitte (locality), Mitte district of Berlin, Germany. It is served by the Berlin S-Bahn and local bus and tram lines. Until 1950, the station was known as Stettiner Bahnhof. History First station In 1842, the ''Stettiner Bahnhof'' opened as the terminus of Berlin-Szczecin railway, the railway line to the capital of the state of Pomerania, Stettin ( (since 1945 a part of Poland). Berlin Anhalter Bahnhof
The Anhalter Bahnhof is a former railway terminus in Berlin, Germany, approximately southeast of Potsdamer Platz. Once one of Berlin's most important railway stations, it was severely damaged in World War II, and finally closed for traffic in 1952, when the GDR-owned ''Deutsche Reichsbahn'' rerouted all railway traffic between Berlin and places in the GDR avoiding the West Berlin area. The Berlin S-Bahn () is a rapid transit railway system that services the reigon in and around Berlin, the capital city of Germany.
