S.J. Main Muñoz
Summer-Joy "SJ" Main Muñoz is an American filmmaker primarily known for directing television and award-winning short films often of the Western genre or featuring Latino themes. Early life Main Muñoz was born in San Luis Obispo, California to a Costa Rican mother (Muñoz) and Russian/Irish father (Main) and was raised in Cambria, California. At the age of eleven, Main Muñoz was featured on Star Search as a member of the dance group "Short 'n Sweet." Main Muñoz worked as a model for surf photographer Dan Merkel in the Maldives. Main Muñoz also modeled for Seventeen at the age of 17. Main Muñoz attended the UCLA Theater Department where she studied directing and acting for the theater. Michael Hausman
Michael Hausman is an American musician and talent manager, known for his collaboration with former-girlfriend and bandmate Aimee Mann. Hausman attended Berklee College of Music and played with a Boston band called The Dark before becoming the drummer for the new wave band 'Til Tuesday in the mid-'80s; the group's best-known hit, "Voices Carry" is said to have been inspired by an argument between Hausman and bandmate (and one-time girlfriend) Aimee Mann. The producer of the song, Mike Thorne, disputed this and stated that the lyrics originally had Mann singing to another woman, though the sex was changed owing to pressure from the record label. The Imagen Awards are administered by the Imagen Foundation, an organization dedicated to "encouraging and recognizing the positive portrayals of Latinos in the entertainment industry." To be considered for an Imagen Award, a media piece or person must go through an entry process. Helen Hernandez is president of the Imagen Foundation. History In 1983, Helen Hernandez met with prolific television writer and producer Norman Lear. "Lear was acutely aware of the near absence of positive portrayals of Latinos in the entertainment industry and understood the importance of positive images. Temecula Valley International Film Festival
The Temecula Valley International Film Festival is a film festival held in Temecula Valley, California. Background Launched in September 1995 and held, uninterrupted every September until 2011 (later to relaunch in 2014), the festival proclaims itself a celebration film and music. It drew 600 attendees to its 1995 launch. By 2008, it drew more than 20,000 people. Over 1,000 films have been screened at the Temecula Valley International Film Festival, representing film-work from more than 20 countries since 1995. Stanley Donen ( ; April 13, 1924 – February 21, 2019) was an American film director and choreographer whose most celebrated works are '' On the Town,'' (1949) and ''Singin' in the Rain'' (1952), both of which he co-directed with Gene Kelly. His other films include '' Royal Wedding'' (1951), '' Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'' (1954), '' It's Always Fair Weather'' (1955), ''Funny Face'' (1957), '' Indiscreet'' (1958), and '' Charade'' (1963). Donen began his career in the chorus line on Broadway for director George Abbott, where he befriended Kelly. From 1943, he worked in Hollywood as a choreographer before collaborating with Kelly.
