Rush Street (album)
''Rush Street'' is the third studio album by singer and songwriter Richard Marx. Released in late 1991, it sold over two million copies in the United States alone. It was Richard's third consecutive multi-million seller in the U. S. Its first single, " Keep Coming Back," was #1 on the American Adult Contemporary chart for four consecutive weeks. It reached #5 in '' Cashbox'' while peaking at #12 in ''Billboard''. The follow-up single, "Hazard", also hit #1 Adult Contemporary. It reached #6 in '' Cashbox'' and #9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Subsequent single releases included "Take This Heart" and "Chains Around My Heart", which were Top Ten hits on the US Adult Contemporary charts. All four hits boasted popular music videos as well. Richard Noel Marx (born September 16, 1963) is an American adult contemporary and pop rock singer-songwriter. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Chains Around My Heart
"Chains Around My Heart" is a song co-written by American musicians Richard Marx and Fee Waybill, originally recorded by Australian singer John Farnham under the title "Chains Around the Heart" as the B-side to his 1990 single " Burn for You". Marx then recorded his own version of the song for his third studio album, '' Rush Street'' (1991), and released it as the album's fourth and final single in 1992. Bruce R. Gaitsch (; born February 7, 1953) is an American guitarist, composer, and producer. He is best known for working with notable bands and musicians such Chicago, Peter Cetera, Madonna, and Agnetha Fältskog as a session musician and songwriter. Jeffrey Thomas Porcaro (; April 1, 1954 – August 5, 1992) was an American drummer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with the rock band Toto but is one of the most recorded session musicians in history, working on hundreds of albums and thousands of sessions. While already an established studio player in the 1970s, he came to prominence in the United States as the drummer on the Steely Dan album ''Katy Lied''. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data.
