Rue Barclay
Rue Barclay (February 23, 1922 – March 6, 1998) was an American Country & Western musician who recorded in the 1940s and in to the 1970s. He was also record producer who produced records for Clarence Jackson, Mutt Poston & The Farm Hands and Red White & The Country Gospel Singers etc. Career Barclay had history in recording went back to the late 1940s. 1950s to 1960s In 1950 he had a 78RPM single "Arizona" bw "Goin' On Down To See Rose" out on the Webster label. It was credited to Rue Barclay And Lois Reed With The Melody Riders. In 1962, Barclay had a release on the Impact label. His release was "I've Lost The Road" bw "Please Dear Won't You Stay". Also that year, a song he co-wrote with Dorinda Morgan for surf band The Tornadoes, "Phantom Surfer " was released on the Aertaun label. Impact Records was a California based record label run by CT Records creator, Tony Hilder in the 1960s. This label released some surf records by The Crestwoods, Dave Myers and The Surftones,45 CaImpact (Calif.) - Label Discography/ref> The Ramblers and The New BreedGlobal Dog Production/ref> and The Revels. The Revels were known for the hits "Comanche" and "Intoxica". Background Formed in the 1960s, this Los Angeles-based record label was managed by Tony Hilder. Among other things, Impact Records served as an outlet for masters that Hilder couldn't get released on other labels. A good deal of the material released was from local aspiring artists and bands of the Los Angeles area. Dean Zook handled the radio promotion for the Midwest, working from his base in Denver. The Tornadoes
The Tornadoes were an American surf band from Redlands, California. They were the second band to receive national airplay with a surf instrumental, after The Marketts, with their song "Bustin' Surfboards", released on Aertaun Records in 1962. "Bustin' Surfboards" has since become a classic and mainstay of the surf genre. One of its distinctions, and appeals, was that the song opened with the sound of an ocean swell that continued throughout the song, thereby creating a sense of being at a beach. The album with the same name was belatedly released on September 20, 1963. The band, however, did not manage to follow up on their success. Their song "Shootin' Beavers" was banned from airplay because of its suggestive title. The band temporarily changed their name to The Hollywood Tornadoes, because the British band, The Tornados, were charting with the song " Telstar." The Skydivers
''The Skydivers'' is a 1963 American crime film produced by Anthony Cardoza, and written and directed by Coleman Francis. It stars actress Kevin Casey, Eric Tomlin, Cardoza and Marcia Knight, with a performance by influential guitarist Jimmy Bryant. After falling into obscurity for three decades, the film found second life in 1994, serving the basis for a '' Mystery Science Theater 3000'' episode (during which TV's Frank describes it as like "'' Manos'' without the lucid plot"). History The Christian Faith label was produced by Alma Records, Inc., founded and owned by Hugh Edwards and his wife beginning approximately in 1953 with a Los Angeles address.
