Robert Morton Organ Company
The Robert Morton Organ Company was a producer of theater pipe organs and church organs, located in Van Nuys, California. Robert Morton was the number two volume producer of theatre organs, building approximately half as many organs as the industry leader Wurlitzer. The name Robert Morton was derived not from any person in the company, but rather from the name of company president Harold J. Werner's son, Robert Morton Werner. The Robert Morton company had its origins in the second incarnation of the Murray Harris Organ Company of Los Angeles. The company passed through various owners, business names and locations between Murray Harris and Robert Morton, including the Los Angeles Art Organ Company, the Johnston Organ Company, and the California Organ Company. ''Peyton Place'' is an American prime-time soap opera that aired on ABC in half-hour episodes from September 15, 1964, to June 2, 1969. Loosely based upon the 1956 novel of the same name by Grace Metalious, the series was preceded by a 1957 film adaptation. A total of 514 episodes were broadcast, in black-and-white from 1964 to 1966 and in color from 1966 to 1969. The first color episode is episode #268. Robert Morton (biochemist)
Professor Robert Kerford Morton FAA (7 August 1920 – 27 September 1963) was an Australian biochemist. He was Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Melbourne from 1952 to 1958, and Professor of Agricultural Chemistry at the University of Adelaide's Waite Agricultural Research Institute from 1959 to 1962. In 1963 he became Professor of Biochemistry at Adelaide, but died that year as the result of an accident in his laboratory. Career Morton was born on 7 August 1920 in Cootamundra, New South Wales. His family settled in Sydney where Morton attended Sydney Boys High School. From 1936 to 1938 he attended Hawkesbury Agricultural College where he earned a Diploma in Dairy Technology before attending the University of Sydney. His studies were interrupted by the war where he served as a Lieutenant in Royal Australian Navy and Royal Navy. Robert Morton is an American television producer most notable for his work as a producer and later co-executive producer of the NBC program ''Late Night with David Letterman''. Biography Morton is a 1975 graduate of American University (Washington, DC). He served as the creative director for MTV prior to joining Letterman's staff. Morton went with Letterman to CBS in 1993 to serve as executive producer of CBS' ''Late Show with David Letterman'', but left the show in 1996. Bob Morton is an electrical engineer and former Chairman/Executive Director of the Naturist Action Committee, an organization dedicated to defending the civil rights of the naturist community. As editor of publisher who published one of the first club newsletters for the Hill Country Nudists, in addition to writing about everyday club events, Morton also discussed serious issues regarding the nudist movement and also instituted the policy of printing the full names of members in the newsletter, an unusual practice in the days when the editors of nudist publications were not allowed to use last names of club members. Morton and his family were plaintiffs in a NAC-supported lawsuit to return the rights of parents who wish to bring their children with them to Hippie Hollow, a clothing-optional public park near Austin, Texas. Robert Hendry Morton (25 September 1927 – 6 May 2002) was an English professional footballer who played for Luton Town. Morton holds the record for most appearances for the club, with 495 in the Football League and 550 overall. Robert Morton (3 March 1906 – April 1990) was an English footballer who played for Ashington, Barnsley, Nottingham Forest, Newark Town, Bradford Park Avenue, and Port Vale in the 1920s and 1930s. Career Morton played for Tritlington, Ashington, Bedlington United, Barnsley, Nottingham Forest, Newark Town and Bradford Park Avenue, before joining Port Vale in May 1932. He scored ten goals in 33 Second Division appearances in the 1932–33 season, and found the net against West Ham United and Manchester United at The Old Recreation Ground.
