Robert Lloyd Lewis
Robert Lloyd Lewis is an American television and film producer. He has worked as a producer on the Showtime drama series ''Dexter'' since 2006 and has received multiple award nominations for his work on the series. Career Lewis joined the crew of ''Dexter'' as the episodic producer midway through the first season in 2006. He took over the role from Dennis Bishop. He remained in this role through the second, third, fourth and fifth seasons. For his work in the series he received Producers Guild of America PGA Award nominations as 'Television Producer of the Year' in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011, as well as being co-nominated for a Primetime Emmy Awards for 'Outstanding Drama Series' in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. A film producer is a person who oversees film production. Either employed by a production company or working independently, producers plan and coordinate various aspects of film production, such as selecting the script, coordinating writing, directing, editing, and arranging financing. The producer is responsible for finding and selecting promising material for development. Unless the film is based on an existing script, the producer hires a screenwriter and oversees the script's development. The series was intended to chronicle 20 years in the lives of a group of six high school friends from Bedford, New York, with each episode following one year in the lives of the six, beginning with their high school graduation year 1986. Each episode also featured scenes in the present where Detective Marjorino ( Mathew St. Patrick) is investigating the brutal murder of one of the group during the night of their 20-year class reunion in 2006.
