Andrew Ranger
Andrew Ranger (born November 20, 1986) is a Canadian professional racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Pinty's Series, driving the No. 27 for Paillé Course//Racing. Ranger is a veteran of the Pinty's Series, having claimed 28 wins in 133 races. He was champion in 2007, 2009 and 2019, runner-up in 2016, third in 2012 and 2015, and fourth in 2008. Racing career Champ Car Ranger was the 2002 Canadian Formula A Karting champion and 2003 North American Fran Am 2000 Pro Champion. Terence "Terry" Osborn Ranger (29 November 1929 – 3 January 2015) was a prominent British Africanist, best known as a historian of Zimbabwe. Part of the post-colonial generation of historians, his work spanned the pre- and post-Independence (1980) period in Zimbabwe, from the 1960s to the present. He published and edited dozens of books and wrote hundreds of articles and book chapters, including co-editing ''The Invention of Tradition'' (1983) with Eric Hobsbawm. Scott Ranger (born June 21, 1983, in Nanaimo, British Columbia) is a former professional Canadian lacrosse player who played for the Calgary Roughnecks and San Jose Stealth in the National Lacrosse League. Ranger was drafted by the San Jose Stealth in 2003, but only played nine games over two seasons. Paul D. Ranger (born September 12, 1984) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently an assistant coach with the UOIT Ridgebacks. He has spent the majority of his professional career with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League before leaving the sport at the professional level for almost three years due to severe depression. Ranger returned to professional hockey at the American Hockey League with the Toronto Marlies during the 2012–13 season, and subsequently signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 24, 2013, to return to the NHL. Playing career Ranger played his junior career with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL. Born in western New York State, he was a prominent landscape and marine painter, an important Tonalist, and the leader of the Old Lyme Art Colony. Ranger became a National Academician (1906), and a member of the American Water Color Society.
