Ramin Nourqolipour
Ramin Nourqolipour is an Iranian Turkmens, Türkmen politician. He was a Member of parliament, Member of Parliament and a member of reformists' Hope fraction in the Iranian parliament, Iranian Parliament. He was elected to the parliament to represent a west Golestan Province constituency including four electoral districts: Kordkuy, Bandar Torkaman, Turkmen, Bandar-e Gaz, Bandargaz, and Gomishan. He represented a big part of Iranian Turkmen, Türkmen community of Iran in Iranian Parliament for four years between 2016-2020. Career He received a PhD in GIS and Geomatics, Geomatic Engineering from University Putra Malaysia and a Master's and a bachelor's degree both in Natural Resources Engineering from University of Tehran and Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, respectively. Iranian Turkmen
Iranian Turkmens ( fa, ترکمنهای ایران; tk, ایران تۆرکمنلری, Eýran Türkmenleri) are a branch of Turkmen people living mainly in northern and northeastern regions of Iran. Their region is called Turkmen Sahra and includes substantial parts of Golestan Province of Iran. The number of Turkmens in Iran is estimated at 0.5 to 1 million people. 2020 Iranian Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Iran on 21 February 2020, four years after the previous legislative election in 2016. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Iran, the second round, to elect eleven seats, was postponed until 11 September 2020. Candidates had to be approved by the Guardian Council, and of the 14,000 applying to run for the Islamic Consultative Assembly legislature, 6,850 were rejected, including 90 current members of the Assembly (who were approved to run in the last election). "Moderates and conservatives" were mostly rejected by the Council and "hardliners" approved (according to Parisa Hefzi); while another observer believed some of the rejected were corrupt and others lacking sufficient loyalty to the regime. Pervasive Coalition of Reformists: The Second Step ( fa, ائتلاف فراگير اصلاحطلبان: گام دوم), named The List of Hope ( fa, لیست امید) by Mohammad Khatami, was the sole coalition and electoral list affiliated with the Iranian reform movement for the 2016 legislative election. The group also endorsed candidates for the 2016 Assembly of Experts election.
