Robotniczy Klub Sportowy Raków Częstochowa Spółka Akcyjna (commonly referred to as Raków Częstochowa, or simply Raków) is a Polish professional football club, based in Częstochowa, that competes in the Ekstraklasa, the top tier of national football league system. History Sports club "Racovia" was established in 1921 in the village of Raków. The club dissolved in 1925 due to lack of registration. In 1927, the club was reactivated under the name of the Robotniczy Klub Sportowy (Workers Sports Club) Raków. A year later, the village became a district of Częstochowa. The club operated under the patronage of the Polish Socialist Party and was financially supported by the Częstochowa steelworks. In 1937 the club was promoted to class A. During the German occupation (World War II), the club did not function. In the years 1951-1955 a football stadium with an athletics track was built. The Miejski Stadion Piłkarski "Raków" ( en, "Raków" Municipal Football Stadium) is a Association football, football stadium in Częstochowa, Poland. The venue is located at the 83 Bolesław Limanowski Street in the Raków, Częstochowa, Raków district. It is the home ground of the Raków Częstochowa Football team, football club. History The Social Committee for Stadium Construction was established in 1951 on the initiative of Eng. Marian Zdunkiewicz. The facility was opened on July 22, 1955. In addition to the football field, a running track and an athletics hill were built. The capacity of the facility was approximately 8,000 people. The owner of the stadium was Huta Częstochowa. FK Sūduva
FK Sūduva is a Lithuanian professional football club based in the city of Marijampolė. Founded in 1968, the club competes in the A Lyga, the top flight of Lithuanian football. The club has been playing in the A Lyga since 2002. In 2006, the club won its first trophy – the Lithuanian Cup, a feat they repeated in 2009. 2021 Polish Super Cup
The 2021 Polish Super Cup was the 31st Polish Super Cup, an annual Polish football match played between the reigning winners of the Ekstraklasa and Polish Cup. The Ekstraklasa champions Legia Warsaw faced Polish Cup winners Raków Częstochowa. Raków played their first ever Super Cup match, while Legia was playing to win their fifth Super Cup. Cracovia were the defending champions, but failed to qualify to the match indicated. The match finished with a 1–1 draw after regular time. There was no extra-time played. Raków won 4–3 on penalties. 2020–21 Polish Cup
The 2020–21 Polish Cup was the 67th season of the annual Polish football knockout tournament. It began on 8 August 2020 with the first matches of the preliminary round and ended with the final on 2 May 2021 at Arena Lublin. The 2020–21 edition of the Polish Cup was sponsored by Fortuna, making the official name Fortuna Puchar Polski. Winners of the competition qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League. The defending champions Cracovia were eliminated by Raków Częstochowa in the semi-finals. Raków won the final 2–1 against Arka Gdynia, achieving their first Polish Cup title ever. The 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League was the inaugural season of the UEFA Europa Conference League, Europe's tertiary club football tournament organised by UEFA. The 2020–21 Ekstraklasa (also known as PKO Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons) was the 95th season of the Polish Football Championship, the 87th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927 and the 13th season of the Ekstraklasa under its current title. The league was operated by the Ekstraklasa SA. The regular season was played as a round-robin tournament.
