Rakhee Thakrar
Rakhee Thakrar (born 29 February 1984) is an English actress. She is known for her roles as Shabnam Masood in the BBC One soap opera ''EastEnders'' (2014–2016) and Emily Sands in the Netflix comedy-drama ''Sex Education'' (2019–2021). She also voices the Eighth Doctor's companion Bliss in Big Finish's ''Doctor Who: The Time War'' audio dramas. Early life Thakrar grew up in the city of Leicester, England and is of Indian descent. She attended Soar Valley College. As a teenager, Thakrar became involved with Hathi Productions, a theatre club based in Leicester. Career Acting In 2004, Thakrar landed the role of Roopa Chauhan in the radio drama ''Silver Street'', which was broadcast on the BBC Asian Network. Thakrar played the role from the first episode in 2004, to the last episode in 2010. In 2006, Thakrar made her first TV appearance in BBC drama '' Banglatown Banquet''. The Asian Awards is an annual award ceremony for the global Asian community which takes place in the United Kingdom, with 14 categories that include business, philanthropy, entertainment, culture and sport. ''Doctors'' is a British medical soap opera, first broadcast on BBC One on 26 March 2000. No Signal! is a British sketch comedy show that aired on a weekly basis from 5 February to 9 April 2009 on FX. The show's humour was based almost entirely on satire of television, including channels, adverts and programming. Though general reaction was mixed, the show was considered successful. Overview ''No Signal!'' is set up like a regular Sky TV system with similar graphics and numerous channels, which are flicked through until the show ends, meanwhile showing the various spoofs of commercials, documentaries, etc. An odd take on pre-show disclaimers air before each episode, which suggests that at least another series of No Signal! will be produced. Davood Ghadami ( fa, داوود قدمی; born 7 August 1982) is an English actor. Following his appearances in ''Taggart'' in 2010, he appeared in the BBC medical programmes ''Doctors'' and ''Casualty'' in recurring roles.
