Jürgen Becker (born August 27, 1959) is a German comedian, kabarett artist, and actor. Life Becker was born and attended school in Cologne, Germany. He became a graphic designer in the German company 4711. Later Becker studied social science in Cologne. Goldene Europa award is the oldest German Television award for artists and entertainers. It was awarded from 1968 to 2003. In the years 1989 and 2001, there were no ceremonies. Since 1981, the gala was broadcast on television. The original sculpture award for the "Goldene Europa" from 1968 is the work of sculptor Herbert Strässer. The award was originally designed with the aim of launching the careers of German artists and producers with their music facing strong competition from the United States and United Kingdom. Echo Music Prize (stylised as ECHO, ) was an accolade by the , an association of recording companies of Germany to recognize outstanding achievement in the music industry. The first ECHO Awards ceremony was held in 1992, and was set up to honor musical accomplishments by performers for the year 1991, succeeding the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis, which was awarded from 1963 to 2018.
