Rønnede
Rønnede is a town in Faxe Municipality, in Region Zealand, Denmark. It is located just east of exit 37 at the European route E47 motorway, 25 km southwest of Køge, 6 km west of Faxe, 30 km northeast of Vordingborg and 19 km east of Næstved. Prior to the Municipalities of Denmark#Municipal Reform 2007, ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007), Rønnede was the municipal seat of Rønnede Municipality. Kongsted Church Kongsted Church is located in the former village of Kongsted now the southeasthern part of Rønnede. The church is known for its numerous mural, murals, painted by the Kongsted Master and the Brarup Master in app. 1500. Rønnede Inn Rønnede Kro (''Rønnede Inn'') from 1825, was constructed by Gisselfeld, Gisselfeld Monastery and had royal privileges. Rønnede Municipality was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Storstrøm County in south Denmark. Faxe Municipality
Faxe Municipality () is a '' kommune'' in Denmark in the Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand. The municipality covers an area of 406 km2 and has a population of 37,820 (2025). Its mayor as of January 2018 is Ole Vive. He is a member of the agrarian liberal Venstre political party. Philip Smidth
Philip Smidth (3 May 1855 – 21 June 1938) was a prolific Danish architect in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His works included, commercial properties, high-end apartment buildings, hotels and hospitals. He worked in the Historicist style. Two of his works, Liselund Ny Slot on the island of Møn and Gefion and Gylfe in Copenhagen, have been listed by the Danish Heritage Agency. Biography Philip Smidth was born in Rønnede to the south of Copenhagen. His parents were, ''kammerråd'' and later ''justitsråd'' Jens Frederik Julius Beck Smidth and Anna Henriette née Høyer. After passing his preliminary exams, he apprentished as a timber and then studied at the Yechnical Society's School and attending C. V. Nielsens Regneskole. He enrolled at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in January 1873 and graduated in March 1882. European Route E47
European route E47 is a road (part of the United Nations international E-road network) connecting Lübeck in Germany to Helsingborg in Sweden via the Danish capital Copenhagen. It is also known as the Vogelfluglinie (German) or Fugleflugtslinjen (Danish). The road is of motorway standard all the way except for in Germany and 6 km (4 miles) of city roads in Helsingør, Denmark; there are also two ferry connections. Improvements A fixed link between Germany and Denmark was planned to have been completed by 2020, now delayed to 2029. It will be a tunnel rather than a bridge. The road across Fehmarn will be widened from two to four lanes before the tunnel opens. A construction start ceremony was held for this on 25 August 2023. Faxe
Faxe or Fakse is a town on the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. It is located in Faxe Municipality in Region Zealand. The town is most known for the Faxe Brewery, Royal Unibrew, a relatively large brewery producing a range of beer and soft drinks, soda, energy drinks, Faxe Kondi and many more and so on. On the edge of town lies a big limestone quarry (1 km2), Faxe Quarry owned by Faxe Kalk. A Haribo Licorice (“Haribo Lakrids A/S”) factory was also founded in Faxe in 1935. Gisselfeld
Gisselfeld, a former monastery, is Denmark's fifth-largest estate. Located between Haslev and Næstved, it extends into several municipalities but the main building is located in Braaby Parish in Faxe Municipality. The estate measures 3,850 hectares, including Hesede, Edelesminde, Brødebæk and Gødstrupgård, of which 2,400 hectares is forest. The three-storeyed Renaissance-style building has stepped gables, loopholes and a projecting tower over the main gate. The grounds include a moat, a well-kept park, lake, waterfall, gardens, greenhouse, and a fountain. A recent addition in its forest is a 45 meter tall hyperboloid tower.
