Rönninge Salem Fotboll is a Swedish football club located in Rönninge. Background Rönninge Salem Fotboll is the result of a merger of the football sections of Rönninge SK (formed 1923) and IFK Salem (formed 1972). The merger took place in 1991 and the first season was in 1992. In 1989 Rönninge SK men's team played in Division 3 Östra Svealand. Rönninge Salem Fotboll currently plays in the women's Division 3 B (which is the fifth tier of Swedish women's football) and the men's Division 5 Stockholm Södra (which is the seventh tier of Swedish men's football). They play their home matches at the Berga IP in Rönninge. Rönninge
Rönninge is a residential area in Salem Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. Statistically it is a part of the bimunicipacontiguously built-up Tumba, Sweden, Tumba urban area. Division 5 is the seventh level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 47 sections with 9 to 16 football teams in each. The competition There are 47 groups of 9 to 16 teams each representing a local geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home ground and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 18 to 22 games depending on the number of teams. The top team in each Division 5 group is promoted to Division 4 and the second placed teams may also be promoted or participate in the promotion/relegation play-offs. The Stockholms Fotbollförbund (; StFF) is one of the 24 district organisations of the Swedish Football Association. It administers lower tier football in Stockholm County.
