''Röd'' (Swedish language, Swedish for ''Red'') is the eighth studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent (band), Kent. It was released as Music download, digital download exclusively through the band's website on 5 November 2009 and Compact Disc, physically on 6 November 2009. The first single from the album, "Töntarna", was released as digital download on 5 October 2009. The song "Svarta linjer" was performed on the television talk show Skavlan on 30 October. ''Röd'' is available in a standard edition and a deluxe edition box. The deluxe edition box version features the 11-track Compact Disc, CD, a USB flash drive with high quality MP3 files as well as Audio Interchange File Format, AIFF files, three 10" Gramophone record, records which between them contain the whole album, and a 118-page book containing lyrics, abstract pictures and photographs. Kent (band)
Kent was a Swedish alternative rock band formed in Eskilstuna in 1990. With members Joakim Berg, Martin Sköld, Sami Sirviö and Markus Mustonen, the band had numerous radio hits throughout Sweden and Scandinavia and consecutive number-one studio albums on the Sweden top list (Sverigetopplistan) beginning with the release of ''Verkligen'' (1996) and led by the single "Kräm (så nära får ingen gå)". ''En plats i solen'' ( Swedish for ''A Place in the Sun'') is the ninth studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. It was released on 30 June 2010, just eight months after the release of their previous album, ''Röd'', but was released exclusively as digital download on the band's website on 23 June. The album is produced primarily with Swedish producer Stefan Boman, who worked with the band on '' Du & jag döden'' from 2005. The lead single, "Gamla Ullevi" / "Skisser för sommaren", was released on 14 June 2010, the same day as the band announced the album details. Background The album was written and recorded in the early spring of 2010, and was finished on 8 June. Some of the songs are leftovers from the recording of ''Röd''. ''Box 1991–2008'' is a summary of Swedish alternative rock band Kent's career. The Box contains almost everything the group has ever recorded between 1991 and 2008. It contains every B-side, many demo recordings and every studio album. It also contains the first official live recording the group has ever made of a concert, a live recording of a new, previously unreleased song called "Håll ditt huvud högt" (''Hold your head high'') made during a concert in the band's hometown of Eskilstuna in July 2008. It was released as the third and final single from the band's eight studio album, ''Röd'', digitally on 8 March 2010, and physically on 10 March. The single contains a single and a demo version of "Idioter", a remix of "Taxmannen" by Andreas Tilliander, and the song "Ensamheten" with remixes by Andrea Parker and Erase. "Hjärta" is a song by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. It was released as the second single from the band's eighth studio album, ''Röd'', on 21 December 2009 as digital download. The single contains the album version of "Hjärta" including two additional remixes. Music video Kent made a music video for the song in collaboration with TV3's '' Efterlyst'', where at the end of the video information was shown about a number of people who had been missing for a long time. Joshua (born Jon Schumann in 1971) is a Danish and Swedish Grammy-awarded music producer and mixing engineer from Denmark. He has produced for bands such as Kent, Kashmir, Mew, D-A-D and Carpark North. Joshua produced the 1999 breakthrough album by the Danish rock band Kashmir, '' The Good Life'', which gave him the "Danish Producer of the Year" award at the 2000 Danish Grammy Awards. He produced the albums '' Tillbaka till samtiden'' and ''Röd'' by the Swedish alternative rock band Kent, released in 2007 and 2009, respectively. For the latter he was awarded "Producer of the Year" at the 2010 Swedish Grammy Awards. In the spring of 2010 he produced three tracks on the band's ninth studio album '' En plats i solen'', released on 30 June. He currently resides in London, UK. The Meistersaal is a historic concert hall in Berlin, Germany. Built in 1910 as a chamber music concert hall, the building today enjoys protected building status. It is located in Berlin-Mitte near Potsdamer Platz. Its major claim to fame stems from the times when it was ''Studio 2'' of Hansa Tonstudio. Herbert Joakim "Jocke" Berg (born 16 March 1970) is a Swedish singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the alternative rock band Kent. Biography Berg was born and grew up in Eskilstuna. He moved to Stockholm in 1993 after the founding of Kent, and has lived there since. Berg was the main songwriter, lead singer and rhythm guitarist in the band, which officially disbanded on 17 December 2016, according to the band's official web site. He is the older brother of director Adam Berg, who has directed several of Kent's music videos. Hansa Tonstudio is a recording studio located in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, Germany. The studio, famous for its Meistersaal recording hall, is situated approximately 150 metres from the former Berlin Wall, giving rise to its former nicknames of "Hansa Studio by the Wall" or "Hansa by the Wall". Today, Hansa Studios' fully-restored Meistersaal is used for recording, as well as for concerts and other events. ''Tillbaka till samtiden'' ( Swedish for ''Back to the Present'') is the seventh studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. It was released on 17 October 2007 in Scandinavia through RCA Records and Sony BMG. The album is produced with Danish producer Joshua.
