Rômulo (footballer, Born 2001)
Rômulo Azevedo Simão (born 7 October 2001), simply known as Rômulo, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as either an attacking midfielder or a forward for Ceará, on loan from Palmeiras. Career Early career Born in Pirassununga, São Paulo, Rômulo represented União São João, Independente de Limeira and Matonense as a youth before being loaned out to Atlético Paranaense in September 2018. Back to Matonense in March 2019, he made his first team debut during the year's Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão before leaving the club in August for Novorizontino, after having unpaid wages. Novorizontino Initially a member of the under-20 squad, Rômulo was promoted to the first team of ''Tigre'' in 2020, and started to feature with the squad in the year's Copa Paulista. He only started to feature regularly in the 2022 Série B, however, and renewed his contract until 2025 on 19 September 2022. Grêmio Novorizontino
Grêmio Novorizontino, commonly referred to as simply Novorizontino, is a Brazilian association football club in Novo Horizonte, São Paulo. They currently play in the Série B, the second tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, the first tier of the São Paulo state football league. History A replacement to dissolved Grêmio Esportivo Novorizontino, the club was founded on 1 March 2010, inheriting the club's colors and logo. After spending its first years in amateur football, the club joined Federação Paulista de Futebol in 2010, but only appeared in a competition of the federation in 2012. In its first professional year, Novorizontino achieved a promotion from Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão, finishing fourth. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, commonly known as the Série C or the Brazilian Série C to distinguish it from the Italian Serie C, is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Beginning in 2009, the Série C was reduced from 64 teams to 20 and the new Campeonato Brasileiro Série D is the qualifier for Brazilian league football. In its current format the first phase was then played in a single round, with 19 matches. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D), commonly known as the Série D or the Brazilian Série D to distinguish it from the Italian Serie D, is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on 9 April 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it was reduced to 64 clubs.
