Río Tercero is a city in the center of Argentina, 96 km from Córdoba city, 35 km east of the city of Embalse, and 386 m above sea level. With a population of 53,166 people is the seventh biggest city in the province. ( Cordoba) The city was founded by Modesto Acuña on 9 September 1913. Río Tercero Explosion
The Río Tercero explosion was a series of explosions in Río Tercero, Córdoba, Argentina, that happened on 3 November 1995 at Río Tercero Military Factory, an ammunition factory, during Carlos Menem's presidency. The explosion killed seven people, injured over 300 and destroyed the factory and part of the city. The blast was initially ruled an accident, but subsequent investigations revealed that the explosion was deliberately planned. In 2014, the Federal Oral Tribunal of Córdoba N° 2 delivered the sentence on the case, condemning four high functionaries of the state-owned corporation Fabricaciones Militares, all of them engineers and retired military men, to ten and thirteen years in prison, for the crime of Intentional Havoc Aggravated by the death of people in a degree of co-authorship. Marcelo Gustavo Milanesio (born February 11, 1965, in Hernando, Córdoba) is an Argentine former professional basketball player. A significant figure in Argentine basketball, he defended Argentina for 2 titles, and Atenas for 14 club titles. He was twice named MVP. He was the player with most assists at the 1994 FIBA World Cup. A one club man, he played all his professional life with Atenas.
