Régis Gurtner (born 8 December 1986) is a French professional association football, footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for Ligue 2 side Amiens SC. He has played over 300 matches in the French professional leagues and has been with Amiens since 2015. Early life and career Gurtner was born in Saverne, France, and started playing football at the age of six at AS Rehthal, a local club. He joined FCSR Haguenau in 2000 where he spent four years before moving to RC Strasbourg Alsace, RC Strasbourg in 2004. He made his debut for the Strasbourg reserve team in the 2007–08 Championnat de France Amateur, Championnat de France amateur in 2005, and became the first-choice goalkeeper in 2007. Saverne (, ; Alsatian language, Alsatian: ; ) is a communes of France, commune in the Bas-Rhin departments of France, department in Grand Est in north-eastern France.
