Réginald Ray
Réginald Ray (born 31 October 1968) is a French football manager and former player. Ray spent the majority of his 15-year career in the French lower divisions. In 1991, while playing in the Championnat National with Montceau, he was the league's top scorer. Ray was top scorer again in 1998, this time in Ligue 2 while playing for Le Mans. Managerial career In 2008, Ray became the under-21 manager for Boulogne. As well as managing the under-21s, Ray also helped coach the team's strikers. In 2010, after two years at Boulogne, he left the club in order to become assistant manager to Frédéric Hantz at Bastia. On 1 November 2015, it was reported that former Lyon manager Rémi Garde was on the verge of becoming the new manager of Aston Villa, and after unsuccessful attempts to bring his former coaching staff with him, would be appointing Ray as his assistant manager. Reginald Ray
Reginald Ray (born 1942) is an American Buddhist academic and teacher. Ray studied Tibetan Buddhism, traditional shamanic wisdom, and yogic-contemplative practices with the Tibetan refugee and recognized Vajrayana traditional-wisdom holder Chögyam Trungpa; and later studied under the tutelage of traditional Dagara teacher from Burkina Faso, Malidoma Somé. A founding academic member of Naropa University, Ray was a longtime senior teacher in Vajradhatu (renamed Shambhala International in 2000) and from 1996 to 2004 was teacher-in-residence at the Rocky Mountain Shambhala Center (which became Shambhala Mountain Center in February 2000). He left the Shambhala organization to found his own teaching center in 2005, Dharma Ocean. RC Strasbourg Alsace
Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, commonly known as RC Strasbourg (, ; RCS) or simply just Racing, is a football in France, French professional association football club founded in 1906 and based in the city of Strasbourg, Alsace. UEFA Intertoto Cup
The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from , "between" and , " betting pool"),Most precisely, from ( football pool); cf. originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition between European clubs. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. The tournament was founded in 1961–62, but was only taken over by UEFA in 1995. Initially, the tournament ended with a single champion, who received the Intertoto Cup. Starting in 1967, the tournament ended with a number of group winners (7 to 14 winners), who received cash prizes. When UEFA took on the tournament, it became a qualifier for the UEFA Cup, with 2 to 11 Intertoto winners advancing to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup. The 2019–20 Ligue 2 (referred to as the Domino's Ligue 2 for sponsorship reasons) season was the 81st season since its establishment. The season was suspended indefinitely on 12 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 28 April 2020, the French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe announced that there would be no sporting events, even behind closed doors, before September 2020, thus in effect ending the season. On 30 April 2020, the LFP declared Lorient as champions of Ligue 2, and that the top two clubs would be promoted to Ligue 1, meaning Lens were promoted as well. Rémi Marie François Garde (, born 3 April 1966) is a French former professional footballer. He was most recently the head coach of Montreal Impact in Major League Soccer. He played as a defender and defensive midfielder, spending most of his career with his first club Lyon, with whom he won the 1988–89 French Division 2. In 1993, he moved to Strasbourg, reaching the Coupe de France final and winning the UEFA Intertoto Cup in his second season. He joined Arsenal in 1996, where he won the 1997–98 FA Premier League before retiring through injury a year later. Garde was capped by the France national team, featuring in their squad at UEFA Euro 1992. Frédéric Hantz (born 30 May 1966) is a French professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Managerial career Hantz formerly managed Sochaux, who had a playing career before coaching. On 18 December, he was named as new head coach by Le Havre and was released after the end of his contract on 30 June 2010. On 20 May 2010, Hantz replaced Faruk Hadžibegić as SC Bastia coach. Ligue 2 (, League 2), also known as Ligue 2 BKT due to sponsorship reasons, is a French professional football league. The league serves as the second division of French football and is one of two divisions making up the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), the other being Ligue 1, the country's top football division. Contested by 18 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with both Ligue 1 and the third division Championnat National.
