Réal Paiement
Réal Paiement (born September 30, 1959) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. He coached the Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) after spending over two years coaching professional hockey in Europe. His last stint in the QMJHL was serving as head coach and general manager of the St. John's Fog Devils in 2007-2008. He proceeded to coach in The Swiss League, the second tier professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, from 2008-2011 before becoming head coach of the University of Ottawa Men’s Hockey Club from 2011-2014. Paiement was dismissed as head coach by the University of Ottawa in 2014 following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving players on the team. He was an ice hockey player for several major junior teams from 1975 until 1982, then played in the International Hockey League (IHL) and in France before returning to Canada to play at McGill University. Dollard-des-Ormeaux
Dollard-des-Ormeaux (; commonly referred to as D.D.O. or simply Dollard) is a city and a predominantly English-speaking suburb of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is the most populous suburb on the Island of Montreal. The town was named after French martyr Adam Dollard des Ormeaux. The town was merged with the city of Montreal in 2002, and became part of the borough of Dollard-Des Ormeaux–Roxboro. When residents were later offered the option, they chose to leave the city of Montreal, and the town was reinstated as a separate entity in 2006. 1977–78 QMJHL Season
The 1977–78 QMJHL season was the ninth season in the history of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The league inaugurates two awards, the Robert Lebel Trophy for the team with best goals against average, and the Guy Lafleur Trophy for the Most Valuable Player of the playoffs. Ten teams played 72 games each in the schedule. The Trois-Rivières Draveurs finished first overall in the regular season winning the Jean Rougeau Trophy, and won the President's Cup defeating the Montreal Juniors in the finals. EHC Visp
EHC Visp is a Switzerland, Swiss professional ice hockey team based in Visp and competing in the Swiss League (SL). The club was founded in 1939 and became Swiss champion in 1962. Visp has also won the league title in NLB three times; 1960, 2011 and 2014. Their home arena is the 5,150-seat Lonza Arena. HC Ajoie is a Swiss professional ice hockey team that competes in the National League (NL), the highest league in Switzerland. Chicoutimi Saguenéens
The Chicoutimi Saguenéens are a Canadian junior ice hockey team which plays in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The team is based in Chicoutimi, Quebec, and owned by the City of Saguenay. The team plays its home games at the Centre Georges-Vézina. History The Chicoutimi Saguenéens franchise was granted for the 1973–74 season. The team's name, ''Saguenéens'', literally means "People from the Saguenay." John Paris
John Paris is an American musician, best known as the drummer for Earth, Wind & Fire. Paris has also worked with artists such as Sheila E, Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle, Wayman Tisdale, Mica Paris and Kelly Clarkson. Early life John Paris was born in Trenton, New Jersey, into a musically inclined family. His mother was a musician and jazz singer, and his father was a big band leader and singer. Paris began playing drums at a young age. During his early teens, he relocated to San Francisco and later to Oakland, California, where he became involved in the local music scene. Career Paris firstly toured with Sheila E. and later performed on Stephanie Mills' 1987 album If I Were Your Woman.
