Rákospalotai EAC is a Hungary, Hungarian association football club based in the Rákospalota quarter in the north-east of Budapest. REAC were promoted to the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the first division in Hungarian football, for the 2005–06 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, 2005–06 season, but the team was relegated to the Nemzeti Bajnokság II after the 2008–09 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, 2008–09 season. The club play their home games at Budai II. László Stadion. History 1912 to 1991: Founding to the end of Volán A team named REAC was founded in the Budapest neighborhood Rákospalota in 1912, but operations ended in the 1940s. Football continued, however, in the neighborhood with the best known teams being ''Fősped Szállítók'' and ''Volán'', the latter of which entered the NB I. in 1979. Budai II
Budai is a nickname given to the historical Chinese Bhikkhu, monk Qieci () in the Later Liang (Five Dynasties), Later Liang Dynasty, who is often identified with and venerated as the future or Maitreya, Maitreya Buddha in Chan Buddhism and Buddhist scripture. With the spread of Chan Buddhism, he also came to be venerated in Vietnam, Korea, and Zen, Japan. Budai is said to have lived around the 10th century CE in the Wuyue kingdom. István Lakatos
István Lakatos (born 4 April 1999) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays for Rákospalota. Club Career On 17 June 2015, Lakatos signed a professional contract with Márk Nyéki and Ádám Varga with Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Ferencváros. Before the deal, he contributed to the Ligakupa success last season. He spent two loan spells with Ferencváros's feeder club Soroksár in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II between 2017 and 2019. On 31 July 2023, the newly promoted Nemzeti Bajnokság III club Gyöngyös signed him to strengthen their attacking section. The 2022–23 Megyei Bajnokság I includes the championships of 20 counties in Hungary. It is the fourth tier of the Hungarian football league system. Bács-Kiskun Kiskunfélegyháza and Bácsalmás were the only team to acquire the NB III license for next season. Bácsalmás was ineligible based on league position and the champion declined the participation before the promotion play-offs for financial reasons. The 2017–18 Megyei Bajnokság I includes the championships of Counties in Hungary (including Budapest). It is the fourth tier of the Hungarian football league system. League table Bács-Kiskun Baranya Pécsvárad rejected NB III participation. Békés Champion Méhkerék were one of the three teams who were drawn first, giving them automatic promotion. Nemzeti Bajnokság III (''NB III'', ''National Championship III'') is the third tier of Football in Hungary, Hungarian football (from the autumn of 1997 till the spring of 2005, NB III was the fourth tier, the third was NB II). The tier contains 4 groups (northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest) of 16 teams. From NB III, the champions of each group will battle promotion play-off, two teams winning play-off are promoted to the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, NB II.
