Rákoscsaba
Rákoscsaba is a former town in Hungary now part of District XVII of Budapest. Rákoscsaba was united with Budapest on 1 January 1950. The Hijackers Bike Park was opened in 2013 in Rákoscsaba. Rákosmente
District XVII of Budapest (known as Rákosmente) is a suburban district of Budapest on the left bank of the Danube, in the eastern part of the capital. It is Budapest's largest district, with an area of 54.82 km2, and home to nearly 90,000 people, making it the seventh most populous district of Budapest. Towns that were different in nature, but closely connected, were annexed to the capital in 1950 as part of the Greater Budapest plan. It is one of the most beautifully located districts of Pest, which is partly located as high as the 235 meters Gellért Hill. As the district is part of the Pest Plain, which gradually rises from the Danube to the east, the district's area is almost entirely hilly. The 241 meter high Erdő Hill, the highest point of the Pest side and the Pest Plain is also located here. Hijackers Bike Park
HiJackers Bike Park is one of the biggest dirt bikeparks in Budapest, Hungary. The park was opened in 2013 in Budapest's 17th district, in Rákoscsaba. The opening of the park made it possible for its founders to practice their favourite sport dirt jump legally. The Park's Past HiJackers Bike Park's history stretches back for years. In 2013 a group of local youths decided to establish a bike park in Rákoscsaba on an unbuilt parcel between Dunaszeg utca- Szabadság sugárút and the Rákospatak. The HiJackers crew first contacted two local foundations (Rákosmenti Testedző Kör, Kölyökkaland Alapítvány) which joined in the works connected to the parks establishment, and started transforming the above-mentioned area into a professional bike park. In a few months time an area of more than two acres was transformed into a shape suitable for practicing the sport. Soon a dream came true, the park was finally built as it was planned.
