was a Japanese novelist and non-fiction writer, born in North Hamgyong, a province of what is now North Korea. He was interested in high-profile crimes in Japan and published a number of non-fiction books about Japanese crimes. On January 14, 1976, Saki was awarded the Naoki Prize for the novel ''Vengeance Is Mine'' based on Japanese serial killer Akira Nishiguchi. was a Japanese army officer and business leader. Early life and military career Sejima was born in Toyama, Japan. His father, , was an officer in the Imperial Japanese Army who served under General Maresuke Nogi during the Russo-Japanese War, and was later the mayor of the village of Matsuzawa in Nishitonami District, Toyama. Sejima graduated from in 1938. During the Pacific War, he was as a staff officer at the Imperial Headquarters. Ryuzo Torii (鳥居 龍藏; May 4, 1870 – January 14, 1953) was a Japanese anthropologist, ethnologist, archaeologist, and folklorist. Torii traveled across East Asia and South America for his research.
