Russell Charles Clark
Russell Charles Clark (December 22, 1878 – July 15, 1964) was a farmer, merchant and political figure in Prince Edward Island. He represented 3rd Queens in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1928 to 1931 and from 1935 to 1959 as a Liberal. He was born in Mount Stewart, Prince Edward Island, the son of Solomon C. Clark and Hannah Newberry, and was educated at Prince of Wales College and Charlottetown Business School. He was a merchant in Mount Stewart, also operated processing plants for lobsters and blueberries, owned a fox ranch and was a partner in a car dealership. In 1900, Clark married Marion J. McKay. He served in the province's Executive Council as a minister without portfolio. He was defeated when he ran for reelection in 1931. Clark died at the Prince Edward Island Hospital in Charlottetown at the age of 85. His son Keir Keir is a surname and given name shortened from Keiron. Education and career Born in Oregon County, Missouri, Clark was a lieutenant in the United States Army during World War II, from 1944 to 1946, and later received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law (now the University of Missouri School of Law) in 1952. Russell Lee "Boobie" Clark (August 9, 1898 – December 24, 1968) was an American thief, bank robber and prison escapee. He is best known as the "good natured" member of the John Dillinger gang and participated in armed holdups with them in a three-month crime spree across the Midwestern United States from October 1933 until his capture in January 1934. Biography Early life and career A native of Oaktown, Knox County, Indiana, Russell Clark's criminal career began shortly after his dishonorable discharge from the United States Marines in 1919. He was a partner of Ralston "Blackie" Linton during the early 1920s and together robbed a series of " illicit roadhouses". In 1926, Clark was a suspect in the kidnapping of two West Terre Haute bootleggers and the murder of Joe Popolardo in Danville, Illinois. Russell Stuart Cedric Clark (27 August 1905 – 29 July 1966) was a New Zealand artist, illustrator, sculptor and university lecturer. Early life Clark was born in Christchurch on 27 August 1905 into a family with a strong interest in art. His mother was recognised as a person with a sophisticated sense of colour and his father, a plumber and tinsmith, was an accomplished watercolourist. At an early age Clark was already known to be creating his own cartoons. After attending the Christchurch Boys' High School he went on to study at the Canterbury College School of Art from 1922 to 1928. and then to work in an advertising agency. Later he joined John McIndoe the printer and publisher in Dunedin as a commercial artist. During this period Clark used one of the studios to hold popular art classes.
