Russell's Point
Blaketown is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. As Blaketown is on the Route 80 (Trinity Road), a few service businesses emerged, including a small grocery store and a gas station. In more recent years, several other businesses have begun operation, including a hardware retailer, an auto repair shop, a woodworking enterprise, an auto parts outlet and a Regional High School. The lake, that extends most of the length of Blaketown, is Dildo Pond, although it is referred to by locals as Blaketown Pond. Conception Bay
Conception Bay (CB) is a bay on the southeast coast of Newfoundland, Canada. The population (in 2011) of people living in municipalities (or unincorporated census subdivisions) located along the coast of Conception Bay was 90,490 making it one of the most densely populated areas of the province. Conception Bay is adjacent to the St. John's Metropolitan Area which contains 5 of the 10 largest settlements in the province and is home to over 200,000 people. The smaller communities in Newfoundland may often be referenced by the Bay in which they are located, e.g.: ' Port de Grave, CB'. The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The census, conducted by Statistics Canada, was Canada's seventh quinquennial census. The official census day was May 10, 2016. Census web access codes began arriving in the mail on May 2, 2016. Whitbourne, Newfoundland And Labrador
Whitbourne is a town on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada in Division 1. History Whitbourne, Newfoundland's first inland town, is named after Sir Richard Whitbourne, one of the most colourful early settlers of Newfoundland and Labrador who wrote a book about Newfoundland that was published in 1620. Sir Richard was appointed by the High Court of the Admiralty to set up the first English law court in the New World in 1615 in Trinity.
